Summary:

Paul's missional mindset resulted in the birth of a new church. Paul never visited the church; Epaphras started the new church, but it was Paul's willing struggle that brought about their new birth. HIs effort caused "affliction" in his life, and he was glad about it! He knew it was his privilege to suffer for the benefit of the church.
